VDC/BIM
The project team set up a 40,000-SF prefabrication facility a few miles from the jobsite where they assembled bathroom pods, patient room headwalls, mechanical racks and nurse workstations. Building Information Modeling (BIM) and iPads running BIM 360 Field software ensured every detail was correct as the pieces came together to form the sizable expansion. This project also used VELA (digital on-site resource station) and bar coding elements on site for easier tracking.
