Skanska provided preconstruction and construction management services for the new $80 million Franklin Woods Community Hospital project. This new 250,000-SF construction project was built for Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) to consolidate two existing facilities into one new campus.
The four-story facility was constructed on a 23-acre greenfield site and included the following: 20 private labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum rooms, 40 med/surg patient rooms, 20 ICU rooms, 2 c-section operating rooms, Surgery department with six operating rooms, Pharmacy and lab, Emergency department with 23 exam rooms, Radiology suite including a MRI, two CT-scans, one nuclear medicine, three rad rooms and one RF screen room, Full service kitchen and dining areas, Main entrance including administrative offices, lobby, gift shop and coffee shop, Central energy plant with three chillers, three boilers and two emergency generators.
The Franklin Woods Community Hospital project is LEED Silver certified. Over 36 percent of recycled material was used in the building products and approximately 54 percent of the construction waste was diverted from the landfill.
