Extension of apron at the Poznan-Lawica Airport

The task we realized included repair of the bitumen surface of aircraft apron within the area of the so called "old" Ławica Airport. In front of the new Airport and at the end of the runway we constructed vehicle manoeuvre area and in front of the very passenger terminal we extended the existing apron. We implemented sliding concrete placement technology with the use of concrete spreader Wirtgen SP500 equipped with devices for surface reinforcement, i.e. a doweler and an anchoring machine. The surface was made of B-40 MPa concrete. The apron's area exceeds 2 hectares. Expansion joints were filled with Superseal Low-Mod Sealant 656 mass, which is resistant to aircraft fuel.
