Constructing the project
Within the reconstruction Skanska removed the bridge superstructure and strengthen all supports. Old girders was removed by using 100-tons cranes. Total mass of the detached construction was 135 tons. The next stage of works included the renovation of supports that became foundation for the new superstructure –steel sheet girders with the weight of 325 tons.
For the new construction Skanska had to strengthen the ground for foundations. Those works were done by using the jet grouting technology. In this method soil is mixed with the cement grout pumped under high pressure. As a result of jet grouting the soil features are standardized and composite of soil and cement is more durable and has very law permeability. In total Skanska made 76 columns of soil and cement with the diameter of 60cm and length 6, 7.5 and 8 meters.
