The new building of the Children's Oncology Unit in Poznan was built as part of the K. Marcinkowski Medical University. We have built almost 3,500m2 of friendly and comfortably designed space for young patients and their parents.
The structure of the hospital building consists of three above-ground floors and one underground floor with a mixed reinforced concrete and brick bearing structure. The new hospital wing is connected to the main building via a ground floor link. In addition, the basement staircase and the newly designed ventilation shaft connect to the operating theatre building.
As part of the work, we also installed medical gas systems, including bedside panels, which are compatible with those already in the building and managed together by a single BMS system.
The interior of the ward has been designed to make the children feel as comfortable as possible. The walls of the corridors are decorated with drawings of nature, the city and the sea.
