Thanks to the modernization of subway station and railway line all kinds of commuter trains will be able to stop at the Dworzec Gdański railway station. Line capacity will also increase from 45-90 trains up to 200 per day and train speed will accelerate from 40 km/h up to 80 km/h. The scope of works to be realized includes: track works, earthworks, drainage works, disassembly of small architecture forms and construction of new ones, realization of turnout electric heating system, assembly of electric and lightning protection installation in the control room, modernization of the telecomunication and electrical power system appliances, erection of new engineering facilities and construction of underground pedestrian subway connecting the Żoliborz district with railway station and subway station.
The investment includes realization of new platforms with small architecture forms (i.a. umbrella roofs for passengers), installation of turnout electric heating system, assembly of electric and lightning protection installation in the control room, erection of new engineering facilities, construction of underground pedestrian subway and installation of wheelchair lifts.
