In the years 2006-2010 Skanska realized indoor swimming pool "Fregata" in Kolbuszowa. This modern object houses three pools: recreation pool, sports pool and a smaller basin designed for swimming courses.
Tender procedure and realization of the investment was divided into three stages. First one, the 12-month stage of works realization included execution of the lockup stage including reinforced concrete structures of pool basins and internal installations. Realization of this stage was completed in October 2007. Within the second, 6-months stage of works we installed external woodwork and metal joinery, we realized the external facade, roof and partition walls on the ground floor as well as embankments and fills around the building. We completed these works in November 2008 and in October 2009 we started realization of the last stage of works including internal finishing works, installation of recreation equipment and water purifying appliances. Sanitary facilities, solar panels, ventilation, gas and electrical systems were also realized within the last stage of works.
Benefits for the community
The object provides tourists and local inhabitants with a versatile offer of active leisure and recreation. The infrastructure of the object is a basis for organization of sports competition as well as physical education classes and swimming courses.
The building has many facilities for the handicapped.
