Renovation of more than 100 year old bridge was divided into two stages: dismantling viaduct platform ( with removal of steel and concrete elements) and reconstruction of the viaduct. Within the investment Skanska has exchanged the surface, steel platform and renovated the steel constructions of arches. The investment included also repair of abutments along with restoration of brick lining, installation of illuminating lighting, construction of entry and exit for bicycles, reconstruction of stairs, construction of rainwater drainpipe, removal of collision with developed area and energy collision. The most important and most interesting stage of works was the replacement of the old steel platform of the bridge with new one. Removal and installation works were carried out over 5 electrified railway lines, to secure railway traffic safety guards were installed. We made the construction counter to lift girders and to lift the construction to the height of 2 meteres. Weight of construction was estimated at 320 tons.
