Skanska has greatly contributed to the Krzywe lake surroundings in Olsztyn. We have built there the all-season sports and leisure infrastructure, which increased the attractiveness and the touristic potential of this Region.
Not only region was beneficial, but mostly the sports enthusiasts. The newly build trail is a great choice for the pedestrians and cyclists during the summer and even for the cross-country skiing in the winter. The volleyball, basketball or football lovers can find a sports field with all the needed equipment there. A shed with the boatyard, open all year round, and the sailing and ice-skating center can be tempting for the “Sea Dogs”.
Our contract included the construction works carried out in two areas – Zatoka Miła (Pleasant Bay) and Słoneczna Polana (Sunny Glade). At Zatoka Miła our aim was mainly to build a trail adapted for pedestrian, cyclist and cross-country skiers use. We also have built a playing area for football, volleyball and basketball with all the required equipment. The multifunctional trail is really worth the attention. Located at the Krzywe lake, answers the need of having a place to walk, ride a bicycle or do some skiing in the winter. Moreover, Skanska was responsible for construction of the all-season shed with the boatyard as well as the sailing and ice-skating center. All those elements, together with the amphitheater seats, terraces and a water equipment ground are located in the Słoneczna Polana area. Additionally, walkways and shared zones as well as the play-grounds and external gym was also placed in that attractive area.
