Malta House is the first office building in Poznań and the Wielkopolska region to be certified at Platinum level in the LEED system. This is also the third project for Skanska Property Poland to get top marks in the certification process, gaining the highest possible rating, Platinum. The other two are the two-building complex NORDEA HOUSE and Green Corner in Warsaw, and Green Towers in Wrocław. Another of the developer’s buildings, Green Horizon in Łódź, received the Gold LEED certificate. The total GLA of the LEED-certificated office buildings completed by Skanska in Poland is now nearly 100,000 sqm.

Malta House is a green building situated in the centre of Poznań in the picturesque setting of Malta Lake, offering 14,700 sqm of office space. In addition to exceptional views, it ensures excellent access to public transport and an extensive infrastructure of shopping and services nearby. The building was designed and constructed in accordance with the principles of sustainability.

"We are very proud of Malta House’s Platinum LEED certificate. It shows that we have fully managed to realize our ambitious plans. From the first stages of project design, we gave ourselves the task of applying pioneering green technologies which ensure significant decreases in operating costs, and at the same time ensure exceptionally comfortable working conditions. The building was already pre-certified to the highest LEED specifications on the basis of its designs. After the construction of Malta House was completed and the building was opened for business, it received the final Platinum LEED certificate, which proves that we built it in accordance with the goals we set ourselves," explains Justyna Adamczyk, Green Business Coordinator at Skanska Property Poland.

Intelligent technologies have been implemented in the building, which decrease its energy requirements, minimize its environmental impact, and most importantly create excellent conditions in which to work. Innovative systems ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the people working in the building, including perfect air humidity and temperature. The “saw” shape of the façade guarantees access to daylight and a beautiful view of the Malta Lake. In addition, Malta House’s users have the opportunity to spend their breaks from work on the roof terrace, from where they can enjoy a panorama of Poznań and the surrounding area. Those people who cycle to work have a special bicycle park, showers and changing rooms at their disposal, and users of electric cars can charge their vehicles at Malta House.
