Wider offer for LUX MED patients in the Wave office building in Gdansk

Press release 2/23/2022 9:35 AM CET

Last year, the LUX MED Group has leased 400 sqm on the ground floor of the Wave office building in Gdansk to open its first dental clinic in the city. This year, their offer will be expanded: the LUX MED Medical Center is currently under construction. It will occupy 1,500 sqm of the first floor of the building. The Center is scheduled to open between Q3 and Q4 2022. The leasing process was assisted by JLL.

The new Medical Center will feature 12 consultation rooms, 3 rooms for diagnostic and treatment, 2 blood collection points, and an endoscopy laboratory. Patients will get access to medical consultations a wide range of specialists (allergist, general surgeon, vascular surgeon, urologist, endocrinologist, gynecologist, midwife, internal medicine specialist, cardiologist, nephrologist, neurologist, ENT specialist, ophthalmologist, psychiatrist, dermatologist, radiologist, rheumatologist, gastroenterologist, sports physician).

– We aim to stay close to our patients and offer them the best and widest range services on the market. Our dental clinic in Wave has been welcomed very warmly by the residents of Gdansk. This gave us all the more confidence to decide about our next investment. I am convinced that our specialists as well as friendly and modern infrastructure will contribute to the new medical center being frequently chosen by those in need of healthcare for themselves and their loved ones – says Michał Rybak, Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President at LUX MED. – The Center will be unique in many ways: it will provide patients with the most up-to-date standard of, for instance, modern rehabilitation or gynecological services. Our decision to choose the Wave building was primarily influenced by the solutions it incorporates – these solutions were designed to ensure health safety and sustainable development. This has been reflected in the investment being awarded the WELL Health-Safety Rating seal – adds Michał Rybak.

– We are very glad about the expansion of the LUX MED Group in the building, as it will broaden the range of services provided in the Wave complex. The offer of the new center will be available both to the users of the building and also to local residents – says Eliza Jamrozik, leasing negotiator at Skanska’s commercial development business unit in CEE.

Last year, the LUX MED Group opened its first dental clinic in Gdansk. Until now, the facility offered seven specialist rooms, which provided patients with comprehensive dental services. The clinic is child-friendly: it has a special room dedicated to pediatric dentistry services, and a children's corner.

Healthy and safe spaces for employees and visitors of the office building

Wave is the first office building in Tricity to receive the prestigious WELL Core & Shell certificate at the Gold level. Wave has also been awarded the WELL Health-Safety Rating seal: an International WELL Building Institute standard, granted to leased spaces with the highest safety parameters that enable reducing the risk of disease transmission and creating healthy and safe workplaces.

Sustainable and pro-environmental solutions have been implemented inside the building and also in its immediate vicinity. One of these solutions was a smog-eating pavement made of green concrete, laid next to Grunwaldzka Avenue. Exposure of its surface to sunlight results in the reduction of harmful compounds in the polluted city air. This is the first pavement of that kind in Tricity.
